Kris Cutlery PINUTI IV

165.00

This 4th generation Pinuti was designed by Kris Cutlery from a museum specimen.
The blade of Pinuti IV is slightly narrower then previous models. Further more the back part of the handle was made thicker. These changes made the sword balance and handling better.

The 19-1/4” single edge blade has a beveled top 11-1/2” long towards the point. Forged 5160 steel is used and is ¼” thick near the guard. A ¼” thick brass guard is used. Beautiful ebony handle is 6-1/2” long with the grip that is 4” with a hexagonal /six sides cross section. The rear section of the handle is a stylized head of “naga”. Very light color wood scabbard has some brass pins on the perimeter. The balance point of the sword is 3-1/4”.

This Visayan weapon style dates back in the 1800 and possibly much earlier. The design is excellent for cutting and thrusting. Blade edge is sharp and hardened.
