A set of sword and dagger was used in some Philippine Martial Arts. Probably a Spanish influence but developed into a Philippine style of fighting. Both blades are used simultaneously in some Philippine martial arts. Single edge blades have clip points measuring 21" for the short sword and 8" long for the knife or dagger. Both are single edge with blade thickness of ¼”. Forged 5160 carbon steel was used and hardened on the edge. Brass guard are 1/8” thick and  extends downward.

Octagonal mahogany wood handle stained brown is 6" long. Handle design was based on a very old historical form used in the Visayan region of Southern Philippines. The flared out pommel is a stylized head of naga. Wood scabbard has a natural finish and is glued and pinned with brass. The handle is glued and pinned with brass rod to the blade tang.

Both blades have good balance and have sharp edges.
