SANKAKU YARI II
A Yari blade that has a triangular cross section is called Sankaku. It has a 4-3/8” blade measured from the tip to the flat section before the tang and is slightly over ¼” thick at the base. The blade is made of 1060 carbon steel. The flat side of the blade has a 2-5/8” long groove. The tang is 5-1/2”.  The blade is hardened on the edge.

This Yari blade is normally mounted on a wooden pole. However it can also be made into a double edge dagger which is called a ken.
