Wood scabbard has a glossy black lacquer with the kurikata / knob with gold colored shitodome / metal inserts. Midnight blue paint is on the section around the kurikata. Swords comes with black bag.

 BLADE: 27" long, 5/16" thick, sori / curvature ¾”
HAMON: straight with hardened edge to 60+ HRC (hardness)
HANDLE: 10-1/ 2 ", two bamboo pegs
TSUBA: 2.9” diameter
BALANCE POINT: 4-3/4” to 5”
WEIGHT: 2.3 lbs. without the scabbard

*Balance point is distance from guard to the blade where it is balanced. Smaller number feels “lighter” and higher number feels “heavier”. Some weight on the blade forward section is good and assists in the cutting capability but too much can make it top heavy. Ideal number is 4”-8”.
