Kris Cutlery KOPIS

Ancient Greece has a single edge sword with a slightly downward curve called KOPIS. It is a single handed sword. The Kris Cutlery model was based on specimens found in museums.

The blade is 25” long forged from 5160 carbon steel with a hardened edge. A mid rib along the blade adds strength and the upper section is tapered towards the top to lessen weight. The blade is 5/16” thick near the guard and tapers towards the point. A solid one piece iron is used as a guard and is blackened with an antique finish. Ebony wood grip handle curves inward at the back to facilitate better grip and mimics a head of a bird.

A wood scabbard is made of brown stained mahogany with the top and lower sections black stained. The upper part of the scabbard has contours to fit the blades guard nicely.
