A wide and long groove is 9-1/8” long and 1-3/4” wide. Polished iron cross guard is 4-1/4” wide with tapered ends. Hardwood grip is stained black with 4 sides cross section and is 4” long. At the back of the grip is the pommel that flares out with a polished iron cap.

Comes with a black leather sheath with a pair of brass rings for carrying. Weighs 1 lb. 14oz without the scabbard. Balance point, like in a seesaw, is 4” from the guard.  Excellent balance that one can feel instantly.
