This is the 2nd model Crusader sword design from Kris Cutlery. It was patterned after a rare Medieval sword from Mamluk Arsenal at Alexandria. Dated 2nd half of the 14th century and most likely Italian.

Long double edge blade is 36” long with a ¾” wide shallow fuller on both sides. At the guard area the blade is 5/16” thick. Forged from 5160 spring steel the blade is tempered. Balance point is 3-1/2”.  Blackened iron cross guard is used. Oval cross section wood grip is wrapped brown leather with spiral cord underneath for better grip. To counter the long blade, a thick and heavy blackened iron pommel is attached to the end of the grip. Crusader cross symbol is marked on pommel’s surface.
