MANDAU LANGGAI TINGGANG #7760

875.00

The relatively clean blade curves upward and is 21-1/8” long. It has a thick blade measuring  5/16” or 8mm thick in front of the handle. Cross section of the blade is like the one found in a typical kitchen knife unlike the Parang Ilhang which has a chisel edge. Light X markings are found along the upper section of the blade and on the top.

Dark brown wood handle has some tufts of human hair at the end. And the grip area has braided thin strips of vine. Wood scabbard has two sections. The top one is very dark brown wood with nice carvings. Bands of blackened copper strips and black leather are used for binding. Bottom half of the scabbard is light colored.

Easily over 100 yrs old from North Borneo. Condition is very good.
