MANDAU #7533

75.00

Traditional knife or sword of the Dyak of Borneo. Single edge blade is 11-5/8” made from iron/steel of folded steel showing laminations from wear or acid etching. It has a metal ferrule on the black stained wood handle. Some remnants of animal hair are found at the end of the handle.

Wood scabbard has nice floral wood carvings on the front. Some type of leather pouch is attached at the back of the scabbard for a utility knife with black stained wood handle.

Attractive show piece overall but probably a tourist piece.
