Sometimes called a kris dagger, Gunongs are from Mindanao and used by the Moros. The double edge blade is 8-15/16” long and 3/16” thick at the base. The blade is clean overall with no nicks or rust. Silver metal guard has nice stamped designs on the back side. Grip on the handle is silver with some fine wire work. The bulge on the grip has small discs and fine wire art work.
Banati wood is used on the pommel with nice grain and tiger strips. No sheath. Made in the 1930’s.
