BUGIS KERSI #7720

275.00

Blade is thick overall compared to most Java Keris. The 5 wave blade is 12-1/2” long and is 3/8”+ thick at the guard area. Pamor or laminations on the blade is showing. At the lower guard is a chiseled Naga Raja or Dragon King with a crown with its’ tail extending to the center of the blade. The Naga is clutching a gold colored ball inside the mouth……to restrain its power.

Nice looking mendak or ferrule at the base of the handle which is bent over stylized Naga or bird. The handle and ferrule are removable which means not glued.

Typical Bugis keris wood scabbard is intact with no chips or missing parts. This keris was most probably made in Malaysia and is 30+ years old.
