In 1988, Cecil Quirino started field research in
Sulu, Philippines to study the weapons and martial arts
of the Muslim Filipinos - the Moros. A trip to Java,
Indonesia followed in 1990 to search for information
that might be relevant.
This video is part of that study.
Featuring: Djakarta National Museum, Djeno's Java Keris,
Sali a Tausug doing Silat with a Kris, Mock sword
fight, Muslim Wedding, Sulu swordsmith forging a Kris
and many more!
