Combat Barong
A short sword favored by the Tausug warriors of Sulu. The leaf shape blade design and function evolved from a long history of combat. The single edge blade is 14" long with 2 3/8" wide belly and is known for its' cutting capability. There is an edge 5 3/4" long on top near the point and also lightens the blade tip when swinging. The 6 3/4" dark brown hardwood handle has a round cross-section and wrapped with a black cotton cord. In front of the handle is a brass ferrule. The pommel is a small size stylized cockatoo's head. It comes with a hardwood scabbard. Wt.1.2-1.4 lbs. without scabbard. Reg. $150 SALE $129
