Sharpening Water Stone
Sharpening Water Stone This water stone has a combination of 220/1000 grit for sharpening knives, swords and tools. Use the 1000 grit (green) for most sharpening. The coarser 220 grit side (red) is for more aggressive sharpening of very dull blades or gardening tools. To further refine the edge after the 1000 grit, use a 6000 grit stone. Before using the water stone, submerge in water for 2-3 minutes. Water stone are made up of oxides of aluminum, chromium and cesium. It is best known for its fast sharpening properties.
