KATAR
Designed for chain mail and armor piercing, Katar is a
weapon from India. This Katar has a blade 7 ½ inches
long with deep grooves. The blade is thickest around 2
inches from the point and measures 5/16 inch. The handle
is for a small hand 7 ¾ inches long on the side. Some
remnants of kofgari (gold application) is visible
specially on the sides of the handle. Wood sheath
covered with cloth showing age. There is a silver butt
piece with nice floral chiseling/carving designs. Old
