Gunong

Gunong are single or double blade daggers with a distinctive bulge on the handle not too far from the guard. Even though some refer to them as Kris daggers, they actually do not belong to the kris family in that it has cross guard design. Popular in the Maranao area of Mindanao, the Gunong is sometimes found in Sulu and other places due to trade.
