SEAX II #6590

This is a blemished product. The right side of the blade has 2 tiny dots illustrated on the last photo. These are not structural and the blade is guaranteed not to break at that junction in normal use for 12 months.

Also known as Scramasax, the Seax II has a single edge blade 11-1/2” long with a 7” groove on one side.  Near the handle the thick blade is slightly over ¼” thick and tapers to 1/8” an inch from the tip. This gives the dagger a nice balance. A polished 1060 steel blade is used with differentially tempered edge.

Simple utilitarian wood handle is 5” long with an octagonal cross section and stained brown. The same type of wood similar to oak is used as a scabbard. Basic blade shape has been patterned from museum artifacts.
