This a blemished product. The blade tip on one side has an incomplete fusion of metals. Check the second photo showing a close-up. It should hold up in regular use.
A Medieval dagger style with a slim double edge blade 9-3/4” inches long and 7/32” thick at the guard area and tapers to 3/32” an inch from the tip. Handforged 9250 and 1060 steel are fused together at 2300+ deg. F and folded many times to produce over 100 layers and is visible. The blades’ edge is selectively hardened. Thick brass guard is used. Makassar ebony wood handle is 4-1/4” long with two very shallow depressions on the sides acting as finger grooves.
The handle is securely glued to the blades’ tang. Comes with black lacquered hardwood scabbard. Reg. 95.
