SEAX II – 1060 steel blade
Also known as Scramasax. The single edge blade is 11-3/4” long with a 7-1/2” groove on one side.  Near the handle the thick blade is slightly over ¼” and tapers to 1/8” an inch from the tip. This gives the dagger a nice balance. A polished 1060 steel blade is used with differentially tempered edge.

Simple utilitarian wood handle is 4-3/4” long has an octagonal cross section. The same type of wood similar to oak is used as a scabbard. There is a small dark knot on both sides of the scabbard.
